How Our Business Works
CharterMason’s business is all about the relationships we form with clients and our ability to access extensive networks and experience on their behalf. We differentiate ourselves from other management consultancies by the way we connect with our clients.
We engage with our clients as an extension of their organisation. Our competitive advantage relies on the ability to understand our client’s challenge, engage effectively and be part of the solution.
The CharterMason philosophy is to have a single point of accountability for the relationship residing in a Delivery Partner who understands our clients’ business. The Partner can make judgments in the client’s best interest and commitments on behalf of CharterMason.
Delivery Partners are selected for their deep experience in their field of expertise and their career pedigree, which is typically grounded in one of the Tier 1 Consultancies or executive management in Industry. They are incentivised to build small effective teams that work on the client side of large complex change programs, often managing the vendors that the client has selected. These teams are self-directed under the Delivery Partner’s leadership and can operate with the agility and responsiveness required by our customers.
We differentiate ourselves from other consulting firms by supporting our Partners to deliver on our clients’ requirements through self-directed work teams while building a rewarding career in CharterMason. We think of ourselves as an extension of our client’s organisation and rely on our Delivery Partners to understand our client’s needs to bring the necessary capability to bear on the challenges being faced. We call this extended capability "Nearsourcing". It fosters a client centric engagement model that enables the understanding of capability and cultural requirements and building and retention of business knowledge.
Our consultants are backed up by our rigorous project management approach, known as GARP.
